The Project
Doug, a local commercial printer, received a large order for 10,000 custom decals. Since the order required a kiss-cut in tight register to printing, it became necessary for Doug to outsource the order to a printer that had kiss-cut capabilities.
The Challenge
Six phone calls and five proofs later, the decals were printed and shipped directly to Doug’s customer by a local printer. Unfortunately, the quality of the decals was substandard. The kiss-cut was off-center cutting into the artwork on the decal. Doug’s customer returned the order, requesting a full refund.
